The San Juans in southern Colorado are a high altitude range of mountains that straddle the Continental Divide. This wide-open landscape, at 12,000, is well above timberline. The view of Red Mountain was taken from Columbine Lake Pass in the San Juan National Forest, Colorado, USA.
