Many of the lakes in Northern Arizona are ephemeral bodies of water. This means that during dry spells these lakes completely empty and turn into meadows of grasses and wildflowers. This picture of Rogers Lake shows a mostly dry lake bed. Rogers Lake is west of Flagstaff, Arizona, USA.
