Grinnell Glacier in Glacier National Park, Montana, USA has been shrinking since 1850 when it was measured at 710 acres in size. In 1993 it measured 220 acres and is expected to disappear entirely by the year 2030. This picture was taken in 2014 from Upper Grinnell Lake. The glacier is at the far end of the lake and sits below the rock formation known as the Garden Wall.
Photographer Jeff Goulden has combined his lifelong passion for photography and his love of the natural world, creating a portfolio that reveals nature in its pure and simple beauty. Growing up in the Puget Sound region of Washington State gave Jeff the opportunity to pursue hiking, canoeing, backpacking, mountain climbing and other outdoor adventures.
