Low tide in Willapa Bay often leaves a pattern in the mud flats. This picture was taken at sunset near Smokey Hollow in the Willapa Bay National Wildlife Refuge, Washington State, USA.

Photographer Jeff Goulden has combined his lifelong passion for photography and his love of the natural world, creating a portfolio that reveals nature in its pure and simple beauty.
