Description

Agathla Peak (7096') is one of many interesting diatreme rock formations in the Monument Valley area. This volcanic pipe was formed when magma rose through a crack in the Earth's crust and made contact with a shallow body of ground water. Agathla Peak is located in Navajo County just north of Kayenta, Arizona, USA.
