Description
The Western Bluebird (Sialia mexicana) is a small member of the thrush family, about 5.9 to 7.1 inches in length. Adult males are bright blue on top and on the throat with an orange breast and a gray belly. A year-round resident of the American Southwest, this Western Bluebird was photographed while perched on a dead sunflower stalk at Campbell Meadows in Flagstaff, Arizona, USA.
